Our Philosophy
Wild Bulgaria is a new family holiday and exciting travel adventure company, offering a range of inspiring and dynamic activities in the unspoilt and picturesque mountainous region of south-eastern Bulgaria, a country rich in history, tradition, culture and outstanding natural beauty.
Our Wild Bulgaria commitment to you:
- Responsible tourism - We run our trips in a responsible manner. Socially, Culturally, Economically and Environmentally.
- Quality - We don’t aim to be the most luxurious or the cheapest family holiday, but we do aim to give the best value service we possibly can. We do not cut corners in our commitment to providing you with an adventure of a lifetime.
- Satisfaction - We rely very heavily on word of mouth and repeat custom for our bookings, consequently it is imperative that we give our family holiday clients the best adventure holiday possible. We believe that with our differing backgrounds in the sales/leisure/tourist industry and with our extensive research of providing adventure holidays, we are confident our combined skills will inspire you to plan another family holiday with us.
- Feedback - At the end of every trip, we provide our clients with a questionnaire that we urge you to fill in about your family holiday. We rely very heavily on our clients’ feedback to maintain and improve the quality of your adventure holiday.
- Accuracy - We do our utmost to make sure that the information provided on our website and in our literature is accurate. However things can and do change due to circumstances beyond our control.
MEET OUR STAFF
Managing Director
Phillip Cowper
Our visionary leader and entrepreneur, overseeing all aspects of the organisation. Ex diving school owner (3* CMAS Instructor, Marmaris-Turkey) liaising with top UK tour operators. After globally experiencing many different adventure/family holidays for the last 30 years and with a passion for jeep safaris and diving trips, our MD knows what the customer requires for a satisfying adventure. Some of the places visited on his travels are: Thailand, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Turkey, North/South America, Egypt.
Director
Stanislaw Petrow
Our main man responsible for managing our relationship with accommodation providers, organisers, guides, transfers for your family holiday etc. Fluent in English, Stan previously worked in the property development sector and has a law degree from Varna University. He knows South East Bulgaria extensively and wants to share his enthusiasm for this ancient land. Stan is also a kayaking and Off-road enthusiast.
Sales, Marketing and Research
Kristian Zwart
Responsible for administration, booking your family holiday. Worked previously for HM Customs and Excise, Beanstalk Europe (licensing company for Coca Cola, Harley Davidson) and Grimsby Evening Telegraph. Has walked the Camino Frances pilgrimage route twice and hiked extensively around the UK. His interests include Kayaking, Biking, Hiking, History and Guitar.
Our Guides
Our main Kayaking Adventure Lead Instructor. Steve
Ex UK military survival trainer, responsible for our kayaking adventure tours in Pleven, near Sofia, Bulgaria. Fluent in Bulgarian. 2003 Sponsored British Champion "Rodeo Rick" in the freestyle kayaking K1 and C1 class. Trained instructor license obtained 2005 at the Internationally recognised Rescue 3 UK Centre in North Wales. Leader of our Orienteering, Team Building and Kayak Fishing tours and also teacher of white water safety techniques on the River Vit.

Hristo Ivanov - Paintball, Rafting, Kayaking, Tourism, Orienteering. Our main guide has more than 10 years experience of family holiday Tourism, working for an extreme adventure company and has extensive knowledge of all the regions we cover.
Yana Mihailova - Our main English speaking guide. Team-building exercises, Orienteering, Tourism and Family Holidays. A passionate and delightful young lady, also previously worked for an extreme adventure company with our main guide. Graduated Law school but prefers to work as a Tourist guide.
Kalin Petkov - Vulture and Wolf Guide Leader, Off-road driver, Kayaking, Rafting, Mountain Biking, Hiking. Our guide in the Eastern Rhodopes.
Krasimar Kurtev - English speaking guide - Historical sites and border tour - currently studying Tourism at University.
